Equipment package
The useful engineering in horticulture equipment is often not glamorous. It is about making awkward field tasks safer, quicker, more repeatable, and easier to operate with the machinery already on site.
A tractor-mounted lifting concept for removing or handling field posts with controlled grip, lift geometry, and simple operator logic.
A driven winding frame concept for recovering or deploying wire and irrigation hose using existing tractor PTO power.
Design development included component geometry, plate details, DXF-ready profiles, and fabrication-aware drawing outputs.
Each build was shaped around rough ground, operator handling, maintenance practicality, available power, and equipment transport.
Engineering approach
The post lifter and winder both start from field behaviour: what needs lifting, pulling, winding, controlling or recovering; what power source is available; and what the operator can realistically manage while working outdoors.

Outcome
The result was a practical set of equipment concepts and build information aimed at reducing manual handling, making field infrastructure work more controlled, and turning repeated orchard or horticulture tasks into equipment-supported operations.
The equipment thinking started with what the person in the field had to do.
CAD and profile work supported practical manufacturing rather than concept-only modelling.
The designs considered available tractor power, attachment logic, and field operating conditions.
